Weekly Tips for Writing & Publishing Your Bestselling Book

You May Have ALREADY Written Your Book

Mar 25, 2024

Writing a book is a powerful way to build your brand, but the time commitment involved might feel overwhelming.

Well, I have great news for you!

You may not be as far away from holding your book in your hands as you think.

WRITING TIP OF THE WEEK: Cull Your Archives

If you're a business or nonprofit foundation leader, a changemaker in your community, a founder, an artist, or simply someone who loves to write, chances are you have written quite a lot already.

  • If you're a company or NGO leader, you've likely done corporate writing, putting together presentations, pitch decks, speeches, and training seminars.
  • If you're a teacher, you have mounds of teaching materials.
  • If you're a coach or therapist, you may send out a weekly newsletter like this one.
  • Regardless of your career, you may post frequently to LinkedIn or Facebook.
  • Maybe you journal regularly. Or maybe you just enjoy composing thoughtful emails to your friends.

Guess what?

All this is raw material, which you can gather together in order to start writing your book!

Spend a few hours pulling all these materials into a Google drive. See if that doesn't make you feel accomplished. It might even add up to a rough draft.

Have you ever dug through your archives and found a beautiful piece of writing, ready and waiting for you like a sparkling shell on the beach?

Aloha,

MeiMei
