Weekly Tips for Writing & Publishing Your Bestselling Book

Write While Driving, Cooking and Folding Laundry

Mar 22, 2024

You don't have time to write. Who does?

Well, I have a secret to share:

You can write while you're doing other things:

  • Write while driving
  • Write while folding laundry
  • Write while cooking
  • Write while sitting at the park with your kids

How?

Dictation!

WRITING TIP OF THE WEEK: Use a Dictation App

This week's writing tip is a highly practical one.

Dictation apps have gotten really good... So use them!

You can dictate directly into most smartphones these days with a Notes app or similar. You can also download a free app like Otter AI, which also will generate a synopsis for you. You can even dictate with Google Docs.

So as you're cruising around town running errands or doing housework, speak aloud, and tell your stories.

You'll have to go back and edit later, but I always find writing so much easier when I already have words on the page.

The hardest part is staring at the blank page.

Aloha,

MeiMei

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
