Your Year in Review
Jan 03, 2026
In 2025, I set the intention to LEVEL UP.
I wrote this intention on a sticky note and posted it to my office wall. Then I called in support from the Universe, and I am telling you: The Universe DELIVERED! Here’s how.
IRL CEO Networking Event
Two people I’d never met before, Tamara Loehr and Jeff Hammer, invited me via LinkedIn to a fully hosted elegant “Honolulu CEOs” restaurant dinner with about 20 other local entrepreneurs. Tamara blows me away: She’s a serial founder with multiple $10M+ companies, YPO and Entrepreneur’s Org member for years, and also a mom who travels the world with her husband and kids for speaking engagements. Jeff does wealth management with a long-term perspective through Forte Impact Advisors, and is also a heart-centered family man. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
I was worried they’d try to sell us something, but the exact opposite: They simply offered their support and mentorship. At the dinner, I met Jason Yoong, a young entrepreneur and ex-Amazon leader whose current venture, an executive coaching company, is called… wait for it… Level Up! He just moved to Honolulu with his wife Cathy and their 3 year-old daughter. We’ve since enjoyed spending family time together. Turns out his auntie Linda Lee is also a local business leader and went to Stanford with me! Small world!
Virtual Women’s Leadership Community
The extraordinary Katya Libin invited me to join Jadeva, a community of powerful women leaders and changemakers. We meet monthly via Zoom, are invited to professional training programs on a regular basis, and will attend a retreat in Tahoe in the spring. This community has introduced me to other female leaders striving to make a positive impact on the world, and I’m so grateful for their mentorship and support.
Specifically, during a one-hour coaching call with Katya that is part of my membership in Jadeva, she helped me clarify my business offers, and invited me to increase my revenue goals for 2026. Her guidance has inspired a website redesign for Your Bestselling Book—coming soon! Talk to me if you’d like an introduction to Katya and Jadeva.
Promotional Support
Soon after I called in my intention to Level Up, I connected via the Summit Series community with OG Yrmis Barroeta. Yrmis is a brilliant marketer who helps people build their email newsletter list from hundreds to 100K+ subscribers. She’s also a mom, and after bonding via Zoom, I signed up for her program. I’m learning a great deal from Yrmis about how to generate greater authentic connection with people who need and want your services via your email newsletter, which is the ultimate tool for all authors and business owners.
Yrmis introduced me to Alan Furth, a business school friend of hers. Alan’s company, The Vale Ghostwriting, specializes in ghostwriting newsletters, lead magnets, and Substack accounts that teach, resonate, and convert without sounding salesy or stiff. He worked very patiently with me over the past months to create a free 5-day email series that takes people through the process of writing and publishing a bestselling book—and will serve as a lead magnet for my business.
Both Yrmis and Alan are brilliant, kind, warm, and talented people who really know their stuff. Talk to me if you’d like an intro to either one.

In addition, I’ve of course benefitted from the tireless support of my husband Kiran Ramchandran and our children the Joy Boys, my best friend and business partner Jen Tate, my mom Carol Fox, my social media and community gurus Kelsey Makaiwi and Julie Mrozinski, my informal Advisory Board of Drue Kataoka, Molly Parker Tapias, and Everett Harper, and the advice and wisdom of numerous other friends and family members.
As the year comes to an end, I bow my head in gratitude for how I’ve pushed myself to personal limits professionally in 2025, and for the many people who have shown up to help me on my entrepreneurial journey. Truly, it takes a village. Thank you for joining me on this mission to help people share their stories so that they can connect more deeply with themselves and each other.
Aloha,
MeiMei
